In this role, you will help ensure every aircraft is presented to the highest standards, delivering exceptional service to our airline clients and contributing to a safe and enjoyable journey for passengers. You will work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and your contributions have a real impact on the travel experience.
The Role
As an Aircraft Cleaning Operative, you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our aircraft. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments and with airline representatives at Dublin Airport to ensure efficient service delivery. You will perform a range of cleaning tasks that support passenger comfort and safety and respond proactively to operational challenges, helping create a seamless travel experience.
Responsibilities
* Professional Cleaning: Perform all cleaning tasks in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
* Carpet Maintenance: Vacuum carpets and wipe down drop tables to maintain a tidy cabin environment.
* Galley Cleaning: Use prescribed cleaning agents to thoroughly clean galleys, ensuring hygiene and safety compliance.
* Rubbish Removal: Efficiently remove rubbish and dispose in accordance with environmental policies.
* Toilet Maintenance: Clean and restock aircraft toilets, maintaining high cleanliness standards for passenger use.
* In-Flight Amenities: Place magazine packs in seat pockets and replace headrest covers to enhance passenger experience.
* Security Checks: Remain observant for suspicious items and report concerns to the appropriate authorities.
* Team Lead Coverage: Be prepared to cover the Team Lead role as needed to support operations.
* Facility Reporting: Report facility service defects (e.g., plumbing issues) for timely maintenance and safety.
In addition to performing your duties, you will maintain open lines of communication with your supervisor and colleagues to address issues promptly and collaboratively.
Requirements
* Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old (to comply with legal working age regulations).
* Ability to complete a 5-year Security Background Check and Garda Vetting process.
* Eligible to Live and Work in the E.U.
* Proficient Written and Verbal English Language Skills.
* Ability to Work Rostered Shifts and Flexibility (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays).
* Physical Capability to perform tasks requiring twisting, turning, bending, and lifting in confined spaces.
* Excellent Punctuality and Attendance.
* Adherence to SHP Grooming & Uniform Standards.
Desirable Criteria
* Operational Experience in an operational environment.
* Full Clean Driving Licence, Category B.
* Manual Handling Certificate.
Contract and Hours
The role is fixed-term and temporary, with a six-month probation period to ensure a good fit for both you and the team. The pay rate is €14.50 per hour (inclusive).
Standard hours are 20 per week, with flexibility for additional hours as needed to cover operational requirements, including aircraft delays. Shift lengths range from 4 to 10 hours, with early starts and late finishes.
