This position will lead the investment oversight function and manage the Investment Oversight Support Analyst while ensuring comprehensive oversight of delegated investment management activities across UCITS funds, AIF and segregated mandates.Purpose of RoleAs PCF30 (CIO) and PCF39D (Designated Person for Investment Management), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust investment oversight framework across our UCITS funds, AIF and segregated mandates that ensures compliance with Central Bank of Ireland requirements and protects investor interests. You will provide strategic leadership for investment oversight activities and serve as the primary interface with delegated investment managers, regulators, and internal stakeholders. This is a part time role (21 hours per week) and the role will be fully office based in Dublin.ResponsibilitiesInvestment Oversight Leadership: Maintain and enhance comprehensive investment oversight policies, procedures, and frameworks for all BGE funds and mandates in compliance with UCITS Directive, AIFMD, and Central Bank of Ireland requirements. Provide senior-level oversight of the delegated investment manager, ensuring adherence to investment policies, risk parameters, and regulatory obligations. Lead quarterly and ad-hoc due diligence reviews of delegated investment managers, assessing their capabilities, resources, and performance. Monitor and evaluate investment performance, risk metrics, portfolio positioning, and adherence to investment mandates across all funds. Oversee best execution compliance, and trading oversight frameworks.Regulatory and Compliance: Serve as the designated person responsible for investment management under Central Bank of Ireland regulations. Ensure ongoing compliance with UCITS and AIFMD investment restrictions, risk limits, and operational requirements. Maintain current knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and assess impact on BGE's investment oversight framework.Strategic and Business Development: Lead Value for Money assessments and participate in fund launch initiatives, ensuring robust investment oversight frameworks are established from inception. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance oversight effectiveness and operational efficiency.Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive investment oversight reports to the Board, Management Committee, and regulatory authorities when/if required. Communicate investment oversight findings, recommendations, and concerns to senior management and relevant committees.Your knowledge and experienceExperience in investment management, fund oversight, or related asset management functions and either currently or previously holding a PCF role or similar controlled functions in Ireland or other EU jurisdictions.Demonstrated experience in senior investment oversight or investment management roles within UCITS and/or AIF environments and experience with regulatory interactions.Strong understanding of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks including UCITS Directive, AIFMD, and Central Bank of Ireland requirements.Understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction, risk management, and performance measurement.Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting complex investment data and market information.Project management capabilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.The type of candidate that we're looking for:You will be an experienced investment oversight professional with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate regulatory environments.
