The role will suit candidates with a minimum of 15 years of experience. The successful candidate will join an established company and will have the opportunity to broaden their existing range of skills and experiences. This position offers exposure to a number of project types within the company, including the delivery of national roads, greenway and active travel projects and major highways design and build schemes. This position offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development to a Director position.ResponsibilitiesLeading multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring projects are delivered to the required timescales, quality and budgets.Managing a portfolio of projects including client relationships and communications for their group of projectsMentoring and managing more junior Project Managers within the Highways and Active Travel SectorSupervising and mentoring senior and junior staff within the Highways and Active Travel SectorPlanning and managing design work, working closely with Engineering Discipline Leads and TechniciansPreparation of technical reports and tender documentsCoordinating his/her work with other members of the project and infrastructure teamEnsuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislationSkills / QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status15 years post-graduate experience in the design and project management of highways, greenway and active travel schemes, including delivering projects in Ireland in accordance with TII Project Management Guidelines and/or NTA Project Approval GuidelinesExperience in the delivery of design and build projects is an advantageMulti-disciplinary design management experienceExperience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultantsExperience in creating and managing budgetsCandidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skillsFlexible and a good team playerWorks efficiently and on own initiativeMust be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetingsFull Drivers LicenceInterested?
