With over €3 bn in annual revenue, 600 motorway service plazas and more than 16,000 employees, the company is now in a rapid growth phase and is looking for a Trading Analyst to support its Commercial Trading Department in ROI.
Role Introduction
The successful candidate will work under the Senior Trading Analyst and will report to the Group Headquarters in Park West, Dublin. The role requires a confident people‑person, hands‑on approach and alignment with Applegreen’s culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and prepare weekly reports on production and trading activities, meeting strict deadlines.
* Support forecasting and distribution of products to stores, allocating stock as required.
* Collaborate with the Trading team on analytics requirements and data insights.
* Analyze trading activity and pricing strategies, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external supply partners.
* Implement change, introduce processes and drive efficiencies within the department.
* Stay informed on market and industry trends through competitor analysis.
* Support the development of strategic plans for product and category levels.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Minimum 2+ years as a Trading Analyst, Merchandise Planner or Stock Allocator (FMCG experience a plus).
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills including power‑pivot or cube functions.
* Experience with data analysis, Power BI or equivalent.
* Strong communication skills and ability to present insights and business impact.
* Experience with SAP and/or a convenience FMCG retail environment is an advantage.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Energetic, enthusiastic and driven to achieve success.
