Vickerstock in partnership with a leading food manufacturing company are seeking to employ an experienced Maintenance Technician.
About the Role
Key responsibilities:
Integrate as part of the Maintenance team to deliver support for operations.
Carry out all work keeping safety, quality, and output to the fore in a food processing / packaging equipment environment.
Maintain accurate maintenance data and close out assigned PPMs.
Timely and effective trouble shooting of day-to-day system issues.
Responsibilities
Qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering essential.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ideally be a multi skilled engineer, i.e., electrical, and mechanical.
Ability to work proactively both in a team environment and on their own initiative.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to fault find on PLC controlled machines.
Perform tasks to a high standard of hygiene/food-safety in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to progress in the organisation.
Adhering to food safety standards.
Flexibility / adaptability (shifts / overtime hours).
Health and safety awareness and compliance.
Ability to build strong relationships working well as part of a team.
Qualifications
Education: Advanced/Higher Certificate (required)
Experience: Maintenance: 2 years (required)
Required Skills
Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Multi-skilled engineering capabilities.
Proactive teamwork and initiative.
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Fault finding on PLC controlled machines.
High standards of hygiene/food safety.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Health and safety compliance.
Strong relationship building.
Ability to commute/relocate: Donegal, County Donegal: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
