The opportunity
Our Supply Chain & Operations team works with clients to design and transform their planning processes, enabling them to deliver on their corporate strategy, achieve cost and performance efficiencies and identify and capture growth opportunities for the future.
The successful candidate will be an important member of a talented team who will work to bring the best of EY to the market.
You will have experience in Supply Chain & Operations with a passion for developing innovative planning solutions that deliver transformative improvements in business performance.

In your role you will be working with client organisations to enhance business performance through supply chain planning transformation programmes.

Your key responsibilities

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping our clients to solve their toughest Supply Chain & Operations problems.
As a Manager within the Supply Chain & Operations – Supply Chain Planning team, you will lead and deliver planning and IBP transformation programmes that enable clients to make better, faster and more integrated decisions.
Key responsibilities are:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of supply chain planning and IBP transformation engagements, from diagnostic and solution design through to implementation and value realisation.
Design and implement demand, supply, inventory and integrated business planning (IBP) processes that align operational plans with financial and strategic objectives.
Assess client planning maturity and develop pragmatic roadmaps to improve planning capability, governance, cadence and decision effectiveness.
Facilitate and design effective cross-functional IBP forums, decision frameworks and escalation models across supply chain, commercial and finance functions.
Apply advanced planning concepts and digital technologies to improve forecast accuracy, supply responsiveness, scenario analysis and decision transparency.
Work hands-on with client teams to redesign planning processes, roles, KPIs and ways of working, embedding sustainable change.
Translate complex data and planning insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior client stakeholders.
Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders and consistently deliver high-quality consulting outcomes.
Identify opportunities to extend planning and IBP engagements, contributing to proposals, business development activities and account growth.
Collaborate with the wider EY Supply Chain & Operations team to shape, develop and grow EY's supply chain planning and IBP offering in Ireland.
Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Contribute to the development of EY planning-related intellectual property, methodologies and thought leadership.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Degree qualified in supply chain, business, industrial engineering or a related discipline.
A minimum of 4 years' experience in supply chain planning roles, with a strong focus on demand planning, supply planning and/or IBP.
Proven experience delivering planning or IBP transformation initiatives, including process redesign, governance models and operating-model change.
Prior consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience leading or supporting planning transformation programmes within complex, cross-functional organisations.
Experience working with ERP and advanced planning solutions such as SAP (APO/IBP), Oracle, Kinaxis, OMP, o9, Aera or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of the role of analytics, scenario planning and decision support in modern planning environments.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear planning decisions and actions.
Deep understanding of how demand, supply, inventory and financial plans interact within an IBP framework.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence and facilitate discussions at senior management level.
Ability to design and communicate planning concepts, processes and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong project and change management skills, including experience driving adoption of new planning processes and behaviours.
Comfortable working in data-driven environments and using technology to enhance planning effectiveness.
Highly motivated, self-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Forward-thinking with strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement in planning and decision-making.
