Event Construction Specialist
The Event Construction Specialist is responsible for creating, installing, and disassembling custom structures and scenic elements for live events, theatrical productions, trade shows, exhibitions, and corporate environments.
1. Construction & Fabrication:
* Design and assemble scenic elements, staging platforms, flats, walls, and custom structures from technical drawings, CAD plans, or verbal instructions.
* Operate carpentry and fabrication tools including saws, drills, routers, sanders, pneumatic tools, and fastening systems.
2. Installation & On-Site Work:
* Install scenery, staging, and event structures on-site according to production timelines.
* Ensure all elements are safely secured and functional for rehearsals and live use.
3. Collaboration & Communication:
* Work closely with designers, technical directors, project managers, lighting/audio teams, and other crew members.
* Follow safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
4. Strike & Warehouse Duties:
* Dismantle and pack scenic elements for storage or transport after events.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
This role requires experience in carpentry, theatrical set building, fabrication, or related field. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight timelines required.
