Veterinary Practitioner – Small Animal (Fixed‑Term Contract, Full‑time or Part‑time)
Job Overview
Shenick Veterinary Hospital in Skerries is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, progressive team on a fixed‑term contract (minimum six months) with a start date from April 2026. The role offers flexible working that adapts to how you want to work, includes a salary of up to €55 000 DOE, and provides a balance of clinical variety, surgical opportunities and a predictable rota with no out‑of‑hours or on‑call duties.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Consultations and routine medicine
Routine procedures and dental work
Medical case work‑ups and standard surgeries
Build a stronger surgical focus if desired, with support for case planning and time in clinic
Qualifications
VCI‑registered Veterinary Surgeon
Confidence in routine consultations, case work‑ups and standard surgeries
Junior vets with competence and ambition are welcome to apply
Compensation and General Benefits
Salary up to €55 000 DOE
Monthly 40‑hour week (part‑time options available)
Predictable rota: Monday–Saturday 8.30 am–6.30 pm (one Saturday 9.30 am–4.00 pm every three weeks)
