Person-Centred Support Worker
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Person-Centred Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with individuals, their families, and our social care leader to deliver high-quality support services that promote dignity, respect, and empowerment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current policies and developments in social care within disability services. They will be able to effectively communicate and build respectful relationships with individuals, supporting their needs and goals while promoting their autonomy and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build trusting relationships with individuals, their families, and the multidisciplinary team
* Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and interests
* Assist with daily living tasks and provide emotional support
* Work collaboratively with the social care leader and other professionals to develop and implement person-centred plans
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Hold a minimum of a Level 7 qualification on the QQI framework (BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent)
* Be CORU registered or in the process of registration
* Have a minimum of one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities
* Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills
* Be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
