A Global semiconductor giant based in Cork are seeking to bolster their team with a talented IT Support Analyst.
Please note this is a 12 month fixed contract
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical assistance to users in person, via phone, or electronically, resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues.
* Troubleshoot and resolve routine and moderately complex technical problems, escalating issues when necessary.
* Follow standard operating procedures and document incidents, resolutions, and service requests accurately.
* Support IT projects by communicating status updates and collaborating with team members to meet deadlines and performance targets.
* Continuously seek learning opportunities, contribute to knowledge repositories, and adapt to changes to enhance technical skills and efficiency.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field preferred.
* 1+ years of experience in IT or engineering support, including troubleshooting operating systems and software applications.
* Basic knowledge of major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux), enterprise software, and common hardware components.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to follow procedures for escalation.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptability, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset.
