Due to continued growth and also small re-structure, my client- a global FMCG Drinks organisation- are looking to recruit a proven Production Manager to join their team. Although they have a large brand portfolio and have over 400 employees in the business-; there is a family feel to the business and in this role, you will be expected to be on site for 5 days a week.
I had a really good meeting with Andrew- the Head of Operations and he said " I am really proud of the team although there definitely is room for improvement on ways of working. I am looking for a proven Production Manager who can look to cut down on costs; know the ripple effect of any decisions made in the factory and behave and act like a leader. Some of our lines/ machinery is old and will break down but at the moment there is too much firefighting- Yes audits and health and safety checks are an integral part of the role but I am also looking for someone who can think strategically- for example look to cut down on overtime- not just paper over the cracks; can take hold of the role, utilise the wealth of knowledge in the business and drive the site forward." Andrew is a fantastic Head of Ops but in this role, you will also get to present to the MD of the business and if successful, there is room for career progression.
** For this role, you must have 4-10 years FMCG production management experience or indeed strong production supervisor experience.– Full bonus in this role is attainable- their brands are iconic, Andrew is a real sell and the opportunity to come in and make this role your own makes this a very attractive proposition for an ambitious Production Manager. **
** Salary for this role, is circa 80,000- 95,000 plus package but just to note, you will be expected to be on site 5 days a week although you can build up your hours and as a result, could work less hours one day- there is a lot of flexibility in this regard. **
