Engineering Project Manager (Packaging Portfolio)
This role focuses on leading capital projects related to packaging equipment and systems. You will be responsible for the delivery of the Packaging Portfolio of Capital Projects within the Cork Manufacturing Site. Experience in pharmaceutical packaging is essential.
* Leadership: This role requires leadership skills as you will lead cross-functional project teams, coordinate work with Professional Services resources, and manage project groups.
* Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Activities:
* Project Solution Definition: Identify the most appropriate technical solution for each Packaging Project derived from the PMO Portfolio.
* Project Scope Definition: Clearly define the boundaries and objectives of each packaging project.
* Vendor Management: Identify, engage with, and select potential vendors for equipment and services. This includes tender coordination and contract management.
* CAPital Application Preparation: Prepare necessary documentation to secure funding approval for projects.
* Scheduling: Develop and maintain project timelines.
* Procurement: Develop and execute procurement packages, and associated engagement contracts, with the projects.
* Cost Management: Control project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
* Project Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress and status to site governance and project stakeholders.
* Coordination: Oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring that Professional Services resources are effectively utilized.
Specific Education & Experience Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline
- Experience in high-speed Packaging Equipment and Technologies in multiple pack formats
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging, process manufacturing, OEE, MTBF, and root cause failure analysis
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects in a GMP Manufacturing Environment
- Understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements of the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
