Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, your role is to seek out and engage “good fit” companies through strategic prospecting. You will leverage HubSpot’s existing leads and generate new interest through calls, emails and social media messaging. The goal is to learn about prospects’ business challenges, determine fit, communicate value, and secure interest for a deeper conversation with an Account Executive.
Responsibilities
Conduct high volume prospecting for qualified leads (new users and potential customers).
Work closely and collaboratively with Account Executives to develop and implement appropriate prospect strategies and plans.
Schedule online product demonstrations for qualified leads while ensuring you meet monthly goals.
Understand the customers’ needs and challenges using sales methodologies such as BANT.
Carry out market research to broaden HubSpot’s customer base.
Requirements
Previous experience in an outbound-focused role, involving cold outreach, pipeline generation, and working toward defined performance metrics.
Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Desire and commitment to be in tech sales.
Sharp focus on goals and a strong approach to achieving them.
Strong objection‑handling skills and willingness to learn through coaching.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Passion for helping businesses grow and curiosity about the tech industry.
Fluency in spoken and written English (required).
