Global Transportation Manager Role Overview
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of goods, fostering seamless collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. The Global Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing freight bill and audit processes, maintaining excellent working relationships with logistics providers, and driving operational excellence across various supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Main point of contact for Freight Bill & Audit Platform, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
* Closely collaborating with Freight Bill and Audit provider to optimize Invoicing and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
* Fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Finance, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain) and external stakeholders (Freight Forwarders, FBAP) through clear communication and effective management of expectations.
* Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with logistics providers to ensure timely Transportation while addressing any delays or issues that may occur.
* Assisting in evaluating supplier performance and contributing to supplier selection processes.
* Collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality, delivery, or pricing-related issues.
* Maintaining and supporting SAP Transport activities with LSP's and Freight Forwarders.
* Managing daily Transportation operational activities.
Requirements:
* Supply Chain qualification beneficial but not required.
* Analytical and logical thinker with good problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
* Self-motivated and capable of making well-informed decisions.
* Power BI experience beneficial, as is SAP knowledge.
* Microsoft Office essential, including Excel and PowerPoint.
