Our client, a leading international law firm with a strong and expanding presence in Dublin, is seeking a Senior Financial Services Regulation Lawyer to join its highly regarded financial services regulatory practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced regulatory lawyer to work with a market-leading team advising global and domestic financial institutions on complex regulatory matters in Ireland and across the EU.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising a broad range of clients including banks, investment firms, fintech companies, payment institutions, asset managers, and other regulated financial service providers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Advising clients on Irish and EU financial services regulation
Supporting authorisation and licensing processes with the Central Bank of Ireland
Providing regulatory advice across areas such as:
MiFID II / investment services regulation
Payments and e-money (PSD2 / PSD3)
AIFM and UCITS frameworks
Consumer protection and conduct regulation
Prudential regulation and governance requirements
Assisting with regulatory implementation projects and strategic regulatory change
Advising on regulatory aspects of corporate transactions and restructurings
Engaging with regulators and supporting regulatory investigations or supervisory matters
Contributing to business development and thought leadership within the financial services sector
Mentoring junior lawyers and collaborating with colleagues across international offices
Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland or the UK
Approximately 6+ years’ post-qualification experience in financial services regulation
Strong experience advising on Irish and EU regulatory frameworks
Background in a top-tier law firm, regulatory body, or financial institution
Key Skills
