Experienced IT Recruitment Consultant @ RECRUITERS
Our client is a growing tech company working with global telecom and financial services brands. They focus on cloud transitions, modern software, and smart automation solutions – with a solid team of engineers delivering cutting-edge results.
They’re now looking for an Telecoms Engineer (SIP & 5G) to join their team in Athlone. If you're into SIP architecture, 5G Core, and want to work on real-world telecom challenges, this could be the perfect next step.
What you’ll be doing:
* Design and improve IMS systems and services like VoLTE, VoWiFi, and video calling
* Build and troubleshoot SIP-based apps
* Work on 5G core protocols and help shape future-ready networks
* Sort out issues between IMS and legacy systems
* Deploy containerised services using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
* Write solid, efficient code in C or C++ for telecom solutions
What we’re looking for:
* Strong experience with SIP development
* Solid knowledge of VoLTE, VoWiFi, and similar services
* Familiar with 5G Core architecture and service-based design
* Good at spotting and solving SIP and network issues
* Experience with container tools and cloud-friendly setups
* Confident coding in C/C++
Nice to have:
* Degree in Telecoms or Computer Science
* Worked with Tier 1 telecoms before
* Certifications in IMS, SIP, or 5G tech
