Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Birmingham for a Quotation Engineer. The role involves preparing accurate and detailed quotations, analysing technical drawings, understanding customer requirements, and liaising with internal teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with company standards. Responsibilities also include researching costs, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting project teams to deliver efficient engineering solutions. Candidates will play an integral role in maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring competitive pricing and accurate project planning.
Qualifications
Technical competency in understanding and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
Experience with cost estimation, supplier negotiations, and preparing detailed quotations
Proficiency in solid modelling, CAD software, and other design tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities related to engineering projects
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and internal teams
Project management skills, including planning, coordination, and time management
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, and industrial equipment is an advantage
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
