Safety Advisor Cork – Mechanical Contractor

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join their Cork-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional to develop their career within a well-established company that prioritises employee development and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement, monitor, and maintain the companys Health & Safety policies and procedures across multiple project sites.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with statutory and company safety standards.
* Identify potential hazards and recommend practical solutions to mitigate risks.
* Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction training to site personnel.
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; compile detailed reports and implement corrective actions.
* Liaise with project management teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure a consistent safety culture.
* Keep up to date with legislative changes, best practices, and industry standards related to health and safety.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
* Minimum 3+ years experience in a Safety Advisor role, ideally within a mechanical, engineering, or construction environment.
* Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams.
* Strong organisational and reporting abilities.
* Full, clean drivers licence and willingness to travel to site locations as required.
