Logistics Strategist - Long-term Position
This is a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring seamless integration of operational and strategic information. The ideal candidate will drive data-driven decision-making by analyzing reports, metrics, and business processes to optimize supply chain efficiency.
The successful individual will possess advanced analytical skills, proficiency in working with complex data sets, and experience with tools such as Alteryx or Power BI. Additionally, they will be able to communicate insights effectively to key stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive inventory optimization and management.
Responsibilities:
* Data Analysis: Independently mine multiple large datasets to answer specific questions, utilizing quantitative analysis and data modeling techniques to generate actionable insights.
* Supply Chain Performance: Present data-driven business insights on supply chain performance to senior leaders and stakeholders.
* Inventory Strategy: Translate inventory strategies into executable plans, communicating these effectively to manufacturing sites.
* Process Improvement: Coordinate and facilitate improvement initiatives in site review meetings processes, driving standardization and automation of materials management transactions.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with management teams to develop and implement inventory management strategies aligned with the overall supply chain strategy.
* Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential business issues and develop risk mitigation plans, serving as a point of escalation for material supply issues within the business unit.
* Data Reporting: Ensure accurate data reporting, particularly to MRP systems, and drive meaningful discussion through effective questioning and analysis.
Requirements:
* Education: Primary degree in Engineering, Business, Maths, or Data Science, with a Master's degree in one of these subjects desirable.
* Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, including SAP knowledge.
* Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with complex data sets are essential.
* Tools and Technology: Experience with analytical tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or other related software.
* Travel: Ability to travel globally as required, with advance planning.
