Retail Store Assistant Manager

We are recruiting for a Retail Store Assistant Manager for our Kilkenny Store. You will work closely with the Store Manager in managing the store and developing leadership skills. This is a full‑time role with expected weekend work.
Responsibilities
Sales (we are retailers after all!)
Ensuring the customer service expectation in the store is delivered
Liaising with the Store Manager in recruitment and performance management processes
Assisting in delivering the targeted performance of the Grooming Studio to maximize bookings and repeat business
Stock management to include stock takes, ordering, replenishment processing
Overseeing the care and comfort of our livestock
Ensuring the success of various in‑store events that we run such as Operation Transpawmation and Puppy of the Year
Qualifications
At least one year of experience in a managerial role in a retail/sales setting
Passion for encouraging people to deliver their best
Curiosity to learn new ways of managing areas of our business, such as the Grooming Studio
Hands‑on leadership on the sales floor
Ability to work on weekends (minimum one weekend day per week)
