As a seasoned maintenance professional, this role presents an opportunity to take on a leadership position and oversee the upkeep of equipment, utilities, and facilities. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant operations across the board.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a high-performing maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
* Schedule maintenance in advance to guarantee that vendor work, EHS checks, and POs are properly executed.
* Coordinate with Production and QC to minimize downtime during maintenance access, ensuring seamless business operations.
* Use a workload planner to balance tasks across the team, maximizing productivity and efficiency.
* Ensure all equipment, utilities, and facilities are maintained on schedule, adhering to strict timelines and protocols.
* Prioritize and assign work to engineers and contractors to support production needs, making informed decisions to drive business outcomes.
* Manage Work Orders in eMaint, guaranteeing timely closure with accurate documentation and minimizing errors.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) is essential.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance and people management, preferably in a GMP pharma/biotech setting.
* Strong knowledge of EU GMP, particularly Annex 1 and Annex 15, is crucial for success in this role.
* Proficiency in CMMS, ideally eMaint, is required.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills are necessary to drive results and foster a positive work environment.
* Familiarity with utilities and cleanroom systems (HVAC, purified water, steam, compressed gases) is highly desirable.
