The Programmer will work with the drawing, programming and cutting departments to ensure CNC Cutting machines are programmed correctly and effectively to ensure optimisation of materials and machinery.General scope of role:Create cutting lists for Plasma, Laser and CNC Drill MachinesProgramme cutting lists for Plasma, Laser and CNC Drill MachinesInput drawings on Lantek software to enable machines to read drawingsGenerate detailed Excel spreadsheetsLiaise with Machines Operators, keeping their workload flowingEnsure customer requirements are metMinimise waste of materials and resourcesMaintain administrative functions associated with the various drawingRequirements:Advanced CAD/CAM or AutoCAD qualificationExperience in programming machinery, preferably Laser, Plasma of CNC Drill machinesPrevious experience in reading and interpreting drawingsMathematically minded, confident and capable in inputting and interpreting numerical dataProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExcellent Excel skillsFluency in the English languageGood written and oral communication skillsProven ability to multi-taskFlexibility to move between projectsThe machines referred to above are those in use at the time of drafting this job specification. The CNC Programmer will be required to work with and additional machinery which may be acquired by the Company.The CNC Programmer role requires a minimum of 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
