Job Opportunity: Chartered Engineer
Our client is a well-established and highly respected consultancy within the construction and engineering industry. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects, they provide expert services across multiple disciplines. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Chartered Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers hybrid working flexibility, with travel to various project sites as required.
Responsibilities
1. Define project scope, deliverables, and technical requirements.
2. Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion.
3. Prepare tenders, supervise tendering procedures, and develop proposals.
4. Oversee and coordinate on-site contractors to ensure project efficiency.
5. Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Provide creative and logical solutions to design challenges.
7. Ensure compliance with construction and engineering standards.
8. Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments as required.
9. Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
10. Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
11. Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
12. Chartered Engineer status.
13. 7 years of experience in Civil/Structural engineering within the construction industry (consultancy experience preferred).
14. Experience in a commercial environment, including tendering and client management.
15. Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles.
16. Ability to read and analyze technical drawings.
17. Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills.
18. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve design challenges.
19. Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
20. A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
