We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training. Purpose of the Post Reporting to the Director of Quality, Risk and Compliance, the Strategic Learning & Development Manager (Grade VII) will, on a permanent contract, lead the transformation, governance, and strategic advancement of organisational learning. The postholder will move the department beyond traditional training approaches by developing data-driven, practice-improving systems aligned with HIQA, New Directions, safeguarding requirements, and organisational quality standards. This role is central to bridging Quality, Learning and Development, and frontline practice to ensure measurable improvements in staff capability and service outcomes. Experience and Qualifications A recognised degree in Training & Development, Education, Health/Social Care, Quality, or similar. Minimum 3 years' L&D leadership or management experience in health, social care, or regulated services. Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate competency-based training programmes. Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations, New Directions, safeguarding, and quality improvement frameworks. Experience translating quality findings and practice needs into targeted learning interventions. Postgraduate qualification in Quality, Training & Development, or Organisational Development. (Desirable) Full clean driving licence and access to own transport, travel across Stewarts Care sites required. Salary : In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the Grade VII salary is €60,013-€78,015 per annum (including LSI).
