Quality Assurance Technician Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
* Food Safety Management System (FSMS): Develop, implement, and monitor the FSMS, including HACCP, prerequisite programmes, and SOPs.
* Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with legislation, customer standards, and internal procedures, reporting performance and compliance status to senior management.
* Audit and Analysis: Conduct internal audits, drive effective close-outs with management and supervisors, and analyse Production Quality KPIs to identify trends and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and drive improvement.
* Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Apply Lean principles in daily problem-solving, root cause analysis, and change management initiatives to proactively identify hazards, manage risks, and implement continuous improvement measures to safeguard product safety.
* Project Leadership: Lead and deliver cross-functional projects, ensuring timely completion and stakeholder engagement, and work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to set standards, solve problems, and implement sustainable solutions.
Requirements:
* Educational Qualifications: Minimum recognised 3rd level qualification in a Food Science related discipline.
* Work Experience: Minimum 3 years+ Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in Food Manufacturing environment.
* Skillset: Demonstratable comprehensive knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control, knowledge of food legislation, GFSI standards, including BRC.
