About The Role
Indigo is seeking support for a long-term contract in Ireland.
The role involves:
Supervising construction teams responsible for delivering projects efficiently and within budget. The team supports the provision and operation of our customers' products to residential and business clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain cost-effective duct and fibre cabling networks for telecommunications and FttH services.
2. Monitor project progress and costs against schedules and forecasts.
3. Ensure contractor compliance with specifications.
4. Supervise daily civil contractor activities.
5. Verify contractor invoices, build claims, and measure sheets.
6. Address construction issues raised by other departments.
7. Maintain health and safety standards.
8. Ensure network build meets QA specifications.
9. Coordinate works with external bodies to meet statutory obligations.
10. Minimize construction impact on customers.
11. Manage various access build activities, including upgrades and fibre build projects.
12. Ensure contractors adhere to customer specifications, safety, and quality standards, including traffic management.
13. Monitor and control daily activities and costs.
14. Identify opportunities to improve quality and productivity.
15. Complete build measurement reports.
16. Recommend remedial works for network improvements.
17. Liaise with internal and external departments and resolve construction issues.
18. Maintain and protect duct and cable infrastructure.
19. Plan small projects, test duct infrastructure, and respond to defects.
20. Research infrastructure resilience solutions.
21. Guide contractors on safe digging practices.
22. Conduct health and safety audits.
About You
Essential:
- Extensive experience in underground network construction.
- Knowledge of civils practices, road openings, and the 'Purple Book'.
- Experience with GIS/Smallworld.
- Four years relevant experience.
- Full clean driving license.
- Knowledge of CATV and RF network design.
- Familiarity with local authority roadwork codes.
- Project planning and coordination skills.
Desirable:
- 'Purple Book' and SLG accreditation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
