Overview
Veterinary Receptionist – Anicare Vets, Blanchardstown
Full-time, Permanent • Salary €***** per hour • Start Date: February ****
Love animals, enjoy helping people, and want a role where you're part of a bigger team?
Anicare Vets is looking for a friendly, organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our Blanchardstown clinic.
This is a key front-of-house role within a busy, modern veterinary hospital, where you'll be the welcoming face of the practice and an essential support to both clients and clinical staff.
If you enjoy variety, working with people and animals, and being part of a professional, supportive environment, this could be a great fit.
The Role & Working Pattern
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with eight-hour shifts scheduled as either 8.30am to 5.00pm or *****am to 7.00pm.
The role is Monday to Friday only, with no weekends, no out-of-hours and no bank holiday work, offering excellent structure and work-life balance.
You'll be part of a larger reception and clinical team, so reliability, communication and teamwork are key.
What the Role Involves
As a Veterinary Receptionist in Blanchardstown, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, providing a friendly, calm and professional welcome both in person and over the phone.
Your day-to-day will include managing appointments using our booking system, handling calls and emails, processing payments, completing end-of-day procedures and supporting the smooth running of the hospital.
You'll also assist with stock deliveries and light lifting, maintain a clean and organised front-of-house area, and support the wider team with general administrative tasks.
Over time, you'll build strong product and service knowledge to help confidently answer client queries.
About Anicare Vets Blanchardstown
Our Blanchardstown clinic has recently been refurbished and is fully equipped to support high-quality veterinary care.
Facilities include dedicated surgical and dental theatres, digital X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray and a comprehensive in-house laboratory.
The hospital also has separate dog and cat wards, along with a cat-only consultation room, allowing the team to work to a very high clinical standard.
You'll be joining a team of four vets, four nurses and two support staff, all working together in a positive, professional and collaborative environment.
The practice is part of the wider Anicare Veterinary Group and the IVC Evidensia network, offering excellent support and long-term career opportunities.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organised in a busy setting and genuinely cares about animal welfare.
You'll have previous experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role, be comfortable using IT systems and handling payments, and feel confident communicating with clients about appointments and fees.
Strong organisation skills, attention to detail, a professional manner and a positive, team-focused attitude are essential.
Experience in a veterinary, medical or healthcare setting would be an advantage, and any interest or experience in social media would be very welcome.
What We Offer (Benefits Subject To Pro-rata Where Applicable)
We offer a competitive salary along with great benefits, including:
Leave: Annual Leave, Birthday Leave, Paid Maternity, Paternity, Bereavement, and Sick Leave
Wellbeing: Cycle to Work Scheme, EAP Access, Free Flu Jabs, Discounts (Retail & Virtual Gym), & Access to Company Programmes (LGBTQ+, Wellbeing, etc.)
Career Development: Career Progression, Leadership Academy, Annual Pay Reviews
