Job Title: Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and be able to work on high-voltage substations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering design input to major electrical power infrastructural development projects through various lifecycle stages from feasibility/front-end engineering stages to detailed design/site construction monitoring and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and review of primary plant layout, cable arrangements, earthing, lightning, compound, and indoor lighting
* Instrument transformer sizing, protection schemes, and IED selection
* C&P panel design, AIS busbar, and connector detailed design and review for HV substations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience working in the power transmission and distribution industry
* Qualified to degree level and ideally be or working towards Chartered Engineer status
* Experience of all stages of project lifecycles
* Experience in applying regulatory and client-specific health and safety requirements to HV plant system designs
* A Level 7 or 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Skills
You should have knowledge of key engineering software packages such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
