Human Resources Officer (12-Month Temporary Role) County Antrim | Engineering Sector A well-established engineering firm in County Antrim is currently seeking a Human Resources Officer for a 12-month temporary role, employed via agency. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced HR professional looking to bring their employee relations and generalist HR skills to a high-performing and technically focused environment. About the Role Working as part of a collaborative HR team and reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide day-to-day HR support across a range of generalist activities. The role has a strong focus on employee relations, absence management, and providing practical HR advice to line managers and staff. You'll also assist with recruitment, HR reporting, and help drive initiatives that support wellbeing and a positive workplace culture. This is a great chance to contribute meaningfully within a busy, professional HR environment in the engineering sector. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line HR advice on issues such as disciplinary, grievance, and absence cases. Support or lead low-level investigations, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including interview scheduling and offer documentation. Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR systems to support compliance and reporting needs. Support the delivery of wellbeing initiatives, HR projects, and benefits administration. Draft and issue employment documentation including contracts and letters. Assist in delivering community engagement activities such as outreach events, school visits, and careers fairs. Candidate Requirements Essential: A relevant HR qualification and/or CIPD membership. At least 3 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in an industrial or engineering environment. Demonstrable experience in handling employee relations issues and supporting line managers. Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Confident user of Microsoft Office and HR systems. Desirable: Experience with PAMS or NorthTime Pro systems. Why Apply?
