DesignBuild Search are working with a global consultancy who have an opening for an Associate Cost Manager for their infrastructure team. The successful applicant will be based in Dublin and help in the growth of the business. Within the position you will be part of a new team supporting the delivery of various capital projects across Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Globally. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will include all aspects of cost control / audit procedures, preparation estimates & tender documentation through the feasibility, design and procurement processes and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase. Responsibilities: Day to day client point of contact for projects. Successful delivery of projects, leading to further repeat clients and their business. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key. Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes. Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus. Experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion. Cost Management experience in the Water Sector would be a specific requirement. Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes Normally receives general direction/instructions on new assignments. Conducts surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments. Operates and manages land-information computer systems, performs tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports. Reviews information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earths surface. Researches legal records, looks for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzes the data to determine the location of boundary lines. Records the results of surveys, verifies the accuracy of data, and prepares plots, maps, and reports. An experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization. Works on complex problems of diverse scope. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying 10 years post college experience Previous experience with a consultancy Good understanding of NEC contracts and experience administrating NEC3/4 forms of contract Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation would be preferable.
