System Engineering Specialist

About the system engineering role
Become a key technical contributor, leading the definition, design, and verification of complex systems that integrate electromechanical hardware and software components.
Derive product requirements from user needs, develop system specifications, perform risk assessments, and execute verification and validation activities.
Leverage methodologies such as Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Agile, and Waterfall development models to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
Provide technical solutions to difficult problems, exercising latitude in determining technical objectives and selecting techniques for obtaining resolution.
Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects, developing work plans to reduce concept to design.
Own derivation & test of product requirements and high-level design system and subsystem specifications.
Assume a technical contributor role, working closely with other functional groups and providing guidance and work direction to cross-functional team members.
Requirements and qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree in science or engineering, with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in systems engineering, medical device design, robotic system design or similar.
Experience with Systems Engineering and requirements management, including requirement/specification management, Systems integration and testing, Failure Modes Effects Analysis, verification & validation, Experimental design, data acquisition, graphical analysis, and use of statistical methods for large complex data sets.
Implementing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies, beta-testing, and/or field implementation of new product launches preferred.

Working arrangements
