A multinational data centre company seeks a skilled Group Project & Commercial Accountant to join its financial team. The organisation provides turnkey solutions across design construction and commissioning delivering large-scale data centre projects in Europe.
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial oversight and commercial reporting across multiple data centre projects.
This position will focus on cost control project performance analysis and management reporting to ensure strong financial governance throughout the group's European operations.
As part of the finance function, the Group Project & Commercial Accountant will collaborate closely with project operations and commercial teams to deliver accurate insights and ensure financial discipline throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting & Analysis:
o Prepare and present weekly and monthly cost and revenue reports for senior stakeholders analysing trends variances and project performance across multiple sites.
* Cost Control & Budgeting:
o Monitor project spending track budgets and collaborate with commercial teams to provide financial insights projections and recommendations.
* Project & Contract Accounting:
o Manage WIP revenue recognition and contract accounting processes while supporting continuous improvements in reporting systems such as Power BI.
Requirements
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA) with strong technical and analytical skills.
Minimum 3 years' experience in financial or project accounting ideally within construction engineering or large-scale project environments.
Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across finance and operational teams.
The successful Group Project & Commercial Accountant will demonstrate commercial awareness attention to detail and the ability to partner effectively with key business stakeholders across Europe.
