The GenBot group is innovating in generative chatbot and AI assistance with AI Agent Essential, a state-of-the-art conversational AI system capable of reasoning and adapting in real-time. It uses a multi-agent architecture and advanced language models to provide personalized, engaging experiences and handle complex, off-script inquiries.
We are hiring a Software Engineer for our AI Agent product at Zendesk. You will own a product area, revolutionize customer experience, and work with cutting-edge ML applications in a collaborative environment.
What you will be doing
* Developing and maintaining backend services supporting AI capabilities at Zendesk scale.
* Collaborating with Product, Management, Data Science, and ML Engineers to define features and implementation approaches.
* Automating deployment pipelines for AI services and products.
* Enhancing workflows and processes with team members.
* Ensuring stability and reliability of deployed services.
* Learning from and pairing with experienced colleagues.
What you bring to the role
Basic Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics.
* 4+ years experience with server-side languages: NodeJS, Python, Ruby, and testing frameworks.
* 4+ years experience with web observability and storage: DataDog, Grafana, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch.
* 2+ years experience with MySQL or MongoDB.
* Proven software development experience.
* Understanding of architecture and design patterns for server-side and web domains.
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
* Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience managing cloud services in AWS.
* Experience with web-scale content serving and high availability systems.
* Experience with high throughput messaging systems like Kafka.
* Knowledge of graph databases like Neo4J or Amazon Neptune.
* Experience with Kafka streams and queues, and logging/monitoring tools like Datadog and Sentry.
