Our client a leading FMCG company dedicated to delivering high-quality consumer goods and outstanding customer service is recruiting a Payroll Specialist to join their Finance team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The Role As Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for a diverse workforce. Working closely with HR, you'll ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies, while supporting continuous improvement across payroll and HR systems in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees in compliance with Irish tax and employment legislation. Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, and entitlements. Maintain payroll data in Payroll & HR systems and reconcile time & attendance records. Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless data integration. Manage payroll changes for new hires, leavers, and contract updates. Submit Revenue returns (PAYE Modernisation, PRSI, USC) and ensure statutory compliance. Prepare monthly payroll reports and support audits and year-end processes. Monitor legislative updates and implement necessary changes. Maintain confidential payroll records in line with GDPR. Support system upgrades and payroll-related improvement projects. Provide cover for Finance team members as needed. Requirements 3+ years' experience in payroll processing, ideally in a high-volume or FMCG environment. Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue systems. Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and discretion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Desirable IPASS qualification (or currently pursuing). Familiarity with Payroll & HR systems.
