We are currently recruiting for the position of Senior Finance Officerto join the Credit Union.
This full-time and permanent position reports directly to the Head of Finance.

This pivotal role will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, ensuring timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Role Purpose: The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic financial planning, working with a high-performing team, and contributing to the overall financial health and governance of the credit union.
In addition to core finance responsibilities, the Senior Finance Officer will champion continuous improvement initiatives, foster a culture of excellence, and contribute as part of the team liaising during audits and regulatory reviews.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities: Work alongside the Head of Finance to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the finance function.
Adherence to Financial Governance & regulations and internal policy and procedures Prepare daily End of Day office routines and reconciliations Monthly review and sign off of bank and cash reconciliations Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with Quarterly and Annual returns to Revenue commissioners.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial projections, and AGM reports Facilitate interim and annual audit.
Key Requirements: Qualified Accountant Minimum 3 years experience in accountancy practice or a financial management role, ideally in a regulated environment.
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel A proactive, detail-orientated, and collaborative approach High standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
This position will be a full-time position and will be subject to a minimum probationary period of 6 months and primarily based at our Head Office in Gorey, Co. Wexford.
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications & experience.
The role is full time, 37.50 hours per week.
