OverviewIntel's Foundry Automation (IFA) Infrastructure and Security (InfraSec) group is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager, reporting to the GM of the IFA Infrastructure and Security Group. This role leads teams responsible for the foundation of global operations, overseeing development of highly scalable distributed systems, cloud‑native infrastructure, and robust security frameworks that protect customers and data. The position requires deep technical expertise in systems architecture and a proven track record of scaling high‑performing engineering organizations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and guide the IFA InfraSec strategy and roadmap for manufacturing business functions.Establish proactive, strategic engagements with key partners and customers to define, align, and execute roadmaps.Ensure solutions and capabilities meet the needs of Intel factories and Foundry customers without adversely impacting velocity.Establish, develop, and foster strong stakeholder, customer, and partner relationships with a focus on roadmap alignment and flawless product/process insertions into manufacturing environments.Lead through ambiguity and bring clarity through defined strategies and executable plans.Model exemplary technical and interpersonal standards within the group and with partners.Ideal CandidateKnowledge of systems and data architectures, network and data communications systems, and cybersecurity principles and technologies.Strong understanding of software programming, concepts of Software Engineering or Systems Engineering, specifically software integration.Experience in high‑volume automated manufacturing in semiconductor fabs.Track record of delivering major automation programs with broad scope, high levels of complexity, cross‑functional team engagement, and challenging deliverables.Ability to influence and shape outcomes with senior executive‑level stakeholders.Understanding of relevant security technology and industry trends.Strong business and financial judgment; strong analytical skills.Effective communication skills to articulate complex technical and business issues and solutions to varied audiences of technical experts and managers at multiple levels.Required Skills and ExperienceExperience in factory automation/IT solutions or leading IT organizations.Experience in SEMI standards utilized in factory automation.Experience in high-volume automated manufacturing semiconductor fabs preferred.Demonstrated ability to present complex technical and financial topics to senior managers, leaders, and government/industry stakeholders.Effective leadership, communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and coach others.Experience translating technology roadmaps and strategy to operational improvement.Proven track record of solving tough technical problems while creating and capturing business value.QualificationsBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.5+ years of practical experience in factory automation or 10+ years of practical experience in developing Information Technology solutions.10+ years of experience leading and setting priorities for multiple engineering teams (30+ people), including second-line management in a large organization.Job DetailsJob Type: Experienced HireShift: Shift 1 (Ireland)Primary Location: Ireland, LeixlipBackground InvestigationThis is a Position of Trust.
