Senior Engineer - Cork
Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer in the Munster Area. You will be overseeing and ensuring high level quality work and ensuring it complies with the regulations and the general and specific specifications of the project. You will also be working closely with the site personnel to deliver the project to the highest possible standard.
Concrete frame experience required.
Reporting to the Project Manager the Senior Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordination and supervision of all the engineering aspects throughout the project. The Senior Engineer will work closely with the site personnel to deliver projects to the highest possible standard.
Key Duties
1. Management of Junior Engineers & Subcontractors
2. Setting-out from engineers' drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings
3. Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
4. Working with subcontractors/general workforce on site
5. Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
6. Liaise with client's representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
7. Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards
8. Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
9. Ordering and control of materials on site
10. Maintaining the site records as required
Skills / Experience required for the role:
11. Completed a third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline
12. 3+ years of Experience in Construction Engineering
13. Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
14. Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
15. Strong IT Skills
16. Ability to work as part of a team
17. Full driving license
