Your Responsibilities
The Lockton Belfast team draws on decades of insurance services experience. They combine their expertise with innovative, tailor-made solutions and place complex programmes for companies, large and small.
As a Contact Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and researching prospects and contacts, successfully promoting and selling Lockton products and services via telephone contact, and providing support services for the Business Developers.
Role responsibilities will include:
1. Proactively identifying new potential client prospects for targeting and addition to the SalesForce database, including reviewing LinkedIn, newspapers, business magazines, and websites.
2. Obtaining key financial data and relevant information related to targeted prospects.
3. Assisting in the preparation of mail shots and other marketing materials.
4. Managing and maintaining the prospect database/pipeline.
5. Managing a pipeline of prospects using a pipeline management tool like SalesForce to meet financial goals.
6. Implementing a systematic communication plan for targeted prospects as agreed with Business Developers.
7. Contacting identified prospects to arrange appointments for Business Developers.
8. Providing activity reports and pipeline status updates regularly.
9. Managing the development of sales collateral.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the insurance sector, but relevant skills from other sectors are also valuable.
Your knowledge and skills should include:
1. Building and maintaining good business relationships with clients and colleagues.
2. Identifying opportunities for business development.
3. Willingness to develop knowledge of products and related issues through ongoing learning.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally SalesForce.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
6. Time management, prioritization, and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
7. Analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation.
8. Understanding client business issues, insurance needs, and expectations.
9. Negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
10. Ability to support team colleagues.
11. Ability to instill confidence in clients, positioning Lockton as a trusted partner.
