Overview
Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to provide optometry services to patients of CHI including:
Participation in a multidisciplinary team of Orthoptists, Ophthalmologists, and Nursing Staff to deliver coordinated care to our patients
Responsibility for refractions and ophthalmic examinations
Performing diagnostic services such as OCTs and visual fields as required
Detection of ophthalmic pathology in patients referred to the Eye Department and to direct such patients for appropriate treatment
Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as an Optometrist in the Optometrist Register with the Optical Registration Board at CORU
Have a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience
Have experience of practice in relevant fields relating to patient management
Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
Essential Criteria
Candidates must:

Commencement & Onboarding
CHI has transitioned to a process of one commencement day per month for all new employees, CHI internal transfers and secondments. This onboarding update aligns with changes in our monthly/fortnightly payroll and with the launch of our new corporate induction program. This process ensures we can prepare for your arrival and facilitate a smooth onboarding journey.
