The Irish operation combinessales, services, and engineering expertise, supporting customers across manufacturing, process industries, energy, and infrastructure.The RoleThe Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible fordriving sales growth and market penetrationacross Ireland for a portfolio ofautomation components, systems, and engineering services.This is acustomer-facing, consultative sales role, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen, working closely with OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, and end users.You will manage thefull sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to order conversion, while developing long-term customer partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesGrow revenue and market share within assigned customers and sectorsDevelop and strengthen relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and industrial end usersIdentify and convert opportunities for:Automation components and systemsMachine safety and process safety solutionsEngineering upgrade and retrofit projectsAct as a technical advisor, understanding customer applications and proposing compliant, value-adding solutionsSupport presales and post-sales technical discussionsCollaborate with internal sales, technical support, and marketing teamsMaintain accurate customer and opportunity data using CRMProvide market and competitor intelligenceEssential Experience & Skills5+ years' experience in technical sales within:Industrial automationControl systemsElectrical / automation componentsProven success selling to industrial customers and managing multiple accountsStrong understanding of automation technologies, such as:PLCs and control systemsSafety relays and safe automation systemsMotion control, sensors, actuatorsRobotics and decentralised automationIndustrial networks and OT securityAbility to engage technically and commercially with stakeholders from shop floor to senior managementTrack record of achieving demanding sales targetsStrong initiative, organisation, and relationship-building skills
