Contract ESG Project Manager - Leading Agri-Food Sustainability Projects (Maternity Cover)
Location: Dunboyne, Co. Meath | Duration: Maternity Cover | Work model: Onsite/Hybrid
A global leader in the agri-food sector is seeking an ESG Project Manager to join its team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a pivotal opportunity to support a well-established sustainability vision focused on environmental impact, stakeholder engagement and innovation in agriculture.
Working alongside the Global Vice President for ESG, the ESG Project Manager will lead a diverse portfolio of initiatives that strengthen environmental and social responsibility across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning strategic sustainability programmes with international standards, supporting internal communications, and partnering with global teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead ESG-related projects across GHG reduction, sustainable packaging, and responsible water/waste management
* Oversee life cycle assessments, sustainability accreditations and compliance reporting
* Support internal communications, training materials, and progress reporting against sustainability KPIs
* Collaborate across departments and international partners to embed ESG strategy into core operations
* Monitor industry developments and benchmark sustainability metrics to inform future priorities
* Contribute to ESG insights and ensure clear communication of progress internally and externally
* Provide analytical support to senior leadership on impact measurement and long-term strategic ESG goals
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility – ideally within the agri-food or manufacturing sectors
* Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, including CSRD, CDP, UN SDGs or similar reporting mechanisms
* Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
* Experience delivering cross-functional programmes on tight timelines
* A strategic mindset, adaptable to changing priorities with excellent attention to detail
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; a Master’s degree or equivalent preferred
* Fluency in additional languages is an advantage
