Job Opportunity:
This is a role for a Commercial Manager who will be embedded within an Irish business, working on rail projects or programmes. You will support key activities to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer various contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
* Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in accordance with budget requirements.
* Proactively manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
* Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
* Effectively manage contract changes, ensuring compliance with governance procedures and adoption of best practices.
* Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and budgeting processes.
* Resolve contractual disputes and support risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
* Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or education to degree level preferred.
* Successful experience of delivering rail projects in a commercial environment is essential.
* Experience of mentoring and/or management is desirable.
* Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract is necessary.
* Ability to work independently on contracts is required.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential.
