Applications are invited for a temporary post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in European Comparative Politics within UCD School of Politics and International Relations.
Applications are invited for a fixed term appointment as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the School of Politics and International Relations.
The person appointed will be expected to contribute to teaching in the areas of comparative and European Union politics.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate modules in their area of specialisation, as well as on broader core modules where required.
Interview Date:
Interviews will potentially take place in the last week of June **** (subject to change).

Applications will consist of a cover letter, in which the applicant will describe how their academic and research profile strategically complements or strengthens the profile of the school, and a complete CV listing all research publications and research grants to date together with any publications submitted for publication but not yet published.
Salary:
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar *****) Salary: €65,401 - €103,564 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines

Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory:
A PhD in political science or related discipline - awarded prior to 1 Sept. ****
A strong, demonstrable commitment to research, with a record of publication in high quality peer-reviewed journals and/or with high quality scholarly book publishers.
A proven record of high-quality university-level teaching.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated enthusiasm to contribute to the social environment of the school and its students.
Research in an area that strengthens or strategically complements the existing research profile of the School.
Candidates must demonstrate how they can positively contribute to fostering an inclusive environment and a level of awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Evidence of a commitment to developing innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Good international research network and international academic experience.
Evidence of potential to generate external research funding.
A profile in, or commitment to, engagement with the wider policy community and media.
Evidence of administrative and/or management experience relevant to the academic environment.
Ability to teach modules in research methodology (quantitative and/or qualitative).
