Job Description
Civil Site Engineers are required to work on a variety of projects, including junior and senior level positions, across Galway and the west of Ireland. This role involves working on civil related projects, with experience in water / wastewater being advantageous. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site engineers, supporting the Site Agent and supervisors with the day-to-day running of the site.
Responsibilities
* Manage site engineers and support the Site Agent and supervisors with the day-to-day running of the site.
* Support the site agent to deliver exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
* Responsible for quality control, understanding of specifications.
* Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 5 years' experience of being part of a large-scale infrastructure programme of work, ideally within the water sector. They should also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to engage with all stakeholders at all levels.
Skills and Qualifications
* Educated to degree standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Sound knowledge of the latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Full driving licence essential.
