A well-established food manufacturing company based in Naas, Co. Kildare is currently recruiting an Engineering Technician to join its on-site Engineering team.
This is a hands-on maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment, offering a strong salary and shift premium.
Shift Pattern:
* 24/7 operation
* 6am – 6pm
* 4-week rotating roster (days & nights)
* 30% night shift premium
Key Responsibilities:
* Reactive and planned maintenance across production and site facilities
* Fault-finding, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
* Installation and commissioning of equipment
* Execution of preventive maintenance programmes
* PLC fault diagnostics (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider)
* Support utilities including compressed air and refrigeration
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards
* Liaise with suppliers and oversee contractors
* Participate in on-call support as required

Requirements:
* Engineering qualification or time-served Electrician/Fitter
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
* Manufacturing or food industry experience desirable
* Experience with CMMS, motor control systems, pneumatics and temperature control
* PLC experience an advantage
* Flexible, reliable and able to work on own initiative
