About the Role:
·In this role, you'll maintain and repair onboard electrical systems including power generation, distribution, and automated control systems.
· Duties also include preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
1. The role will also involve participating in emergency response and damage control duties, including firefighting and other exercises.
Requirements:
2. Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland
3. Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
4. Age: 18–39 years on the date of application
5. Qualifications (or national equivalent):HETAC Level 7 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics & Instrumentation, or Marine ElectrotechnologyQQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical, Electrical Instrumentation, or Instrumentation
Recruitment Process:
Includes a fitness test, competency-based interview, medical exam, and Garda vetting
Location: All assessments conducted at the Naval Base, Haulbowline Island, Cork
Salary & Benefits:
6. Basic salary: €49, with annual increments
7. Naval Service Allowance: €20,
8. Additional allowances for overseas service starting at €15,
