Purpose:
This position involves planning and implementing learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Job Duties:
1. Develop and implement developmentally appropriate daily activities.
2. Conduct daily health checks and maintain a clean, safe environment.
3. Create individualized activities based on each child's developmental level.
4. Design learning environments that promote exploration and experimentation.
5. Foster positive relationships within the classroom community.
6. Communicate effectively with parents to encourage involvement in their child's early learning.
7. Conduct screenings and ongoing assessments to monitor growth and identify delays, referring children as needed.
8. Maintain and update records for all enrolled children.
Formal Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with ten relevant courses. Two years of preschool teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Understanding of early childhood development and education.
* Classroom management and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of emergency procedures for young children.
* Effective communication skills with parents and colleagues.
