Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to:
* Lead teams in the safe delivery of data centre projects
* Generate a sales pipeline to deliver revenue
* Secure and deliver projects on time and within financial targets
* Manage projects according to contracts and statutory regulations
General Activities:
* Manage risks and team competence for safe project delivery
* Recruit and retain talent
* Identify project opportunities and deliver contractual commitments
* Complete projects on time, within budget, and to satisfaction
* Manage risks, maximize profit, and develop client relationships
Business Development:
* Create a pipeline of opportunities
* Manage bids, tenders, and proposals
* Generate new sales exceeding targets
Building Relationships:
* Develop relationships with clients and partners
* Ensure quality and collaborative project development
Compliance:
* Ensure team compliance with policies and safety standards
* Conduct regular safety reviews
Financial Management:
* Develop financial plans and manage project budgets
* Produce financial reports and control costs
People Management:
* Recruit, train, and manage project staff
* Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary issues
Profile
Experience Required:
* Skills: Commercial awareness, financial acumen, negotiation, confidence, customer management, networking
Knowledge:
* Construction market, project management, health and safety law, financial terminology
Experience:
* Data centre or critical environment project experience
* Sales and team management experience
Qualifications:
* Technical qualification in construction, mechanical, or electrical disciplines
* Recognized project management qualification
Aptitude:
* Interpersonal skills, relationship building, confidence, integrity, motivation, organization, networking, results-oriented, innovative, information management
