Job Summary
The Plant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility. As a senior leader, this individual is responsible for managing all aspects of the site, including Environmental Health & Safety, Quality Control, Production, Warehousing, Technical Processing, and Maintenance.
This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver, able to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overall Management: Oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
* Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practice throughout the plant.
* Talent Development: Coach and develop direct reports to ensure they have the necessary skills and competences to excel in their roles.
* KPI Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and optimize business performance.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a strong track record in operations management, preferably with experience in Lean Management and Continuous Improvement initiatives. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a proven ability to deliver results in a cost-efficient and high-quality manner, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. They should be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, promoting a healthy work culture and driving business growth through innovation and improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree or Equivalent Experience: Engineering/Operational Management degree or similar, or equivalent experience.
* Experience: At least 8 years' experience working at a senior management level in a manufacturing role.
* Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Qualities: Proven track record in delivering on Health & Safety and Operational KPIs, Ability to collaborate with peer groups and improve business & site performance, Drive and initiative, Commitment to excellence and high standards, Teamwork, Open, direct and transparent communication style.
