**Job Summary**
As a highly skilled Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, working closely with them to resolve technical issues and ensure peak performance of our equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with senior field service engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment
* Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address technical issues
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems
* Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to fulfill additional duties as assigned
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Completion of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
* Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
* Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 1-2 years of work experience in customer/field service support or a related technical field
* Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
* Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters
**Work Environment**
This position requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
The ability to distinguish between colors and work in an environment with noise is also required. Additionally, this role involves working in a clean room, which requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
